First thing I want to say is: Finally finished! This image has taken me forever, it feels good to finally be done with it. I drew the sketch while I was at comic con, just like how i did [link] at anime expo.

Anyway, the idea for the image is this: The title is supposed to be ambiguous. Who are the "scouts" and what are the two figures in the foreground doing? If you assume they are enemies of the men below, what's the reason for holding back against such laid back soldiers? Is it because the two are "just scouts?" Perhaps they are under orders, as scouts, not to engage the enemy? Or maybe they are simply unable to take on so many men? Perhaps they are not sure if these are the only soldiers? What if the men below are the "scouts?" Would not killing them then be pointless? Since they are "just scouts."
