sorry about not putting any info earlier, i submitted this while I was at school (^_^; ) Ok, I did this for school. It's friggin HUGE, like 4 feet long and 3 feet wide. It is the FIRST time I have ever gotten to use pastels. the ones i had were extremely messy and i got one of my white sweatshirts all messy... I actually did this last semester(so...like 4 months ago) and spent 3 weeks of classtime on it. My teacher doesn't like complete fantasy, so I had to use a reference for the background.

This guy is walking up the steps to heaven and by the way, heaven represents, in general, what people want to reach with their lives. he has wings, so he can make it to heaven but he is still somewhat hesistant. Perhaps is because he doesn't want to take this particular route to heaven..or maybe his idea of heaven isn't the same as everyone else's. He sees everyone else(the ghostly shadows of those around him) taking the same path but he's still not sure if this is the right path for him. there is a door on the side, a door that no one goes into, but seeing this door interests him. perhaps this is where he should be going? he is at a cross in his life. he could take the same path as everyone else but is this path may not be the right one for him.

i know it's a little far fetched, but this backstory was really to symbolize how I feel. I don't know what to pursue with my life. (wow, i'm being awfullly open) I think I could succeed as the business type person my dad wants me to be, but I don't know if that is the right path for me to take. Like, i could do it(i have wings..) but it's not really what I'm suited for. I want to draw. but hell, will this path really lead me to the type of life i want?(heaven) I could pursue drawing...but who knows where I'll end up(where does that door lead)

hmm, i've surprisingly remembered the entire thing. i hope you can appreciate it for both its artistic and spiritual value. (^_^; )
